The new Arai GP7 is homologated from October 2020 and is equipped with the very latest technical advances - many components, including the outer shell, share the same design as the Formula 1-approved Arai SRC.
The GP-7 is now one of the few racing helmets on the market that meets the strict safety ratings: the Arai GP-7 FRP is approved to FIA 8859-2015 & SNELL 2020.
This FIA rating is now a requirement in most forms of motorsport, both in racing and off-road.
The helmet has a fire-resistant, comfortable and washable interior in Nomex and Kevlar.
The shell is made from Arai's patented fibre composite CLC and has extra reinforcement at the lower edge to withstand stress from your HANS device.
To use the Arai GP-7 FRP together with HANS / Hybrid protection, you purchase HANS mounts that are easily fitted with one screw each. No modifications are required - the helmet has pre-threaded fittings.
The helmet has 5 large ventilation openings that keep the head cool. The two openings over the mouth area are always open, but the main ventilation can be easily opened and closed.
The chin strap is fastened with a DD fastener, which is the safest option and provides a perfect adjustment every time.
