Cylinder Gasket Raket 95

The Raket 95 cylinder base gasket is an essential component designed to keep your engine properly sealed while allowing precise performance tuning. Available in 0.10 mm, 0.20 mm, 0.30 mm, and 0.40 mm thicknesses, it provides flexibility for fine adjustments.

Beyond sealing, the gasket plays a key role in setting the correct “squish” clearance.

What is squish?
Squish is the distance between the piston crown and the cylinder head when the piston is at top dead center (TDC). In a 2-stroke kart engine, this clearance directly affects combustion efficiency, power output, and engine reliability.

How to use the gaskets

• Thinner gasket reduces squish and increases compression
• Thicker gasket increases squish and lowers compression
• Gaskets can be combined for precise adjustment

To measure squish, a piece of soft solder is placed on the piston, and the engine is rotated. The compressed thickness is then measured, and the gasket thickness is adjusted accordingly to reach the desired specification.
