Air Density Gauge Prisma
Product description
AirPro Densimeter for Optimizing Combustion in Two-Stroke and Four-Stroke Engines.
Specifically designed for two-stroke and four-stroke engines, the AirPro Densimeter measures key parameters such as:
Temperature
Pressure
Relative Humidity
Altitude
Air Density
It will store session data, allowing you to optimize carburetion adjustments according to environmental conditions, enabling optimal carburetion adjustments based on environmental conditions, ultimately improving engine performance.
Wireless connection of the instruments through the Prisma Electronics APP to view and export all stored sessions.
The Importance of Air Density in Engine Performance
Standard engineering charts clearly demonstrate how air temperature and barometric pressure impact engine power output. Maximum engine power is directly proportional to “air density,” provided the fuel/air ratio remains consistent. If the fuel/air ratio becomes too rich or too poor, the reduction in power output is significantly greater.
What Parameters are displayed?
Date & Time
Air Temperature - Celsius or Fahrenheit
Barometric Pressure hPa
Relative altitude mt / ft
Relative Humidity %
Air Density - Kg/m3 - lb/ft3
What does air density indicate?
In technical terms, air density represents the amount of air mass present per unit of volume in a given environment. It is influenced by three main factors:
Atmospheric Pressure: Higher atmospheric pressure compresses air molecules, increase density.
Air Temperature: Higher Temperature expand air molecules, reducing density, while lower temperature increase it.
Relative Humidity: Humid air is less dens than air dry.
Air Density in Motorsport is a critical parameter because;
It determines the amount of oxygen available for combustion in engines.
It directly affects carburetion and the air-fuel ratio, which in turn impacts engine power.
Download all Sessions
You can store up to 50 sessions in the instrument. In addition to reviewing the sessions directly on the device, you can download all the data to the app.
All sessions will be linked to the track where the measurements were taken. You can also add notes to each session, such as “Carburetor Tuning #1.”
You can export the sessions as PDF files, allowing you to print them or share them with your team members.
Additionally, you can export all the data to an Excel sheet for further analysis.
Prisma Electronics AirPro Jetting is the ideal app for drivers, mechanics and engine tuners who need to optimize carburettor settings based on real-time atmospheric conditions. Designed to work seamlessly with the AirPro Densimeter from Prisma Electronics, the app wirelessly reads temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, relative altitude and air density.
By combining these measurements with the selected Rotax engine model, AirPro Jetting calculates a recommended carburettor main jet size for the current conditions. This helps users quickly adjust carburation for maximum engine performance during race weekends, practice sessions and testing.
The app allows every measurement to be saved as a session, with the option to add notes, assign track information and export data in PDF or CSV format for further analysis and record keeping.
For accurate measurements, the AirPro Densimeter should be placed in a shaded area with natural airflow, away from direct sunlight, engines and other heat sources.
