Information folkrace equipment

Rich text

Driving a folkrace requires a lot of folkrace equipment and safety gear. Your own driver's equipment with clothing that is fireproof and FIA-approved is a good investment in your own safety.

Racing equipment must protect you in the event of an accident, so the requirements are high, including being flameproof. For competitions, the overalls should be comprehensive with CE-approved protection and sturdy gloves and shoes. In addition, shoes with high heels (preferably racing shoes), gloves, support collar and helmet of course. A folkrace overall that is approved according to competition rules is available in designs from around two to ten thousand kronor.

The folkrace equipment listed is the standard requirement for folkrace competitions, but some other items may be useful as a supplement:

Balaclava and base layer, provide extra fire protection and help keep the helmet and overalls fresh for longer.

Visor for the helmet

Other things to consider are helmet weight, try to stay under 1600g

Think about the colors and safety

Sure, there are folkrace overalls at low prices but think about safety. You should also like the color of the overalls. If you don't like bright colors, you won't drive well in such an outfit. The folkrace overalls are part of yourself as a driver by extension. If you like the car, the folkrace equipment and the clothes, you drive better.
