The training camp that kicks off the karting season
Karting camp TrainingCamp Vendrell 2026
For over 20 years, we have organized TrainingCamp Vendrell. Two decades ago, a few enthusiasts from Västerås Karting drove down for the first time in a small van. Since then, more than 2,500 people have joined us in Vendrell during the winter break.
The track and location
Now you have the chance to join us! Vendrell is located just south of Barcelona and is home to a 1,310-meter karting track where we train, socialize, and enjoy Barcelona’s fantastic atmosphere.
Nearby you’ll find vineyards, golf, shopping, and skiing in Andorra just a couple of hours away – but above all, around 50 kart drivers and their families gather here to improve their driving skills, test new chassis, and exchange experiences.
Over the years, participants have joined us from all over Europe, so you can expect to meet fellow karting enthusiasts from different countries.
There is no organized coaching, as karting consists of many different classes, making joint training difficult to arrange.
Why Spain?
The simple answer is the weather – while the rest of Europe is cold and rainy, Vendrell offers a sunny and pleasant climate for karting. The average temperature over the years has been between 16 and 20°C.
Accommodation at a great price
During winter holiday weeks 8 and 9, we can offer favorable rates on accommodation with full board. The hotel is located just 5 minutes from the track and close to the beautiful seaside promenade.
The hotel price is €40 per night per person and includes:
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Wine, beer, soft drinks, and water with meals
Traveling to Spain
You arrange your own travel to Spain, most easily by flying to Barcelona Airport (BCN). Flights are booked individually. The distance from the airport to the hotel is 54 km.
Once there, we recommend renting a car for transport between the airport, hotel, and track. Major car rental companies are available at the airport and prices are relatively low in Spain.
Transport of your kart and equipment
We transport your kart by truck through Europe. Loading takes place about one week before the trailer arrives in Spain, and unloading one week after the last participant has left Vendrell. This is done in Västerås.
Costs and invoicing
The transport cost is SEK 7,400 plus SEK 380 per person for whom we book accommodation (free for children aged 0–6).
You will receive an invoice including VAT for the full amount from Radne Motor AB, labeled as “Transport”.
What do I get?
You receive insured transport to and from Vendrell with Tornfrakt, who have been working with us for many years. The booking fee gives you access to our negotiated hotel rates and a stylish T-shirt to keep as a memory from the Training Camp.
What can I transport with me?
The transport price allows you to bring what you need, for example:
Complete kart
Extra tires (packed in tire bags)
Toolbox
Kart trolley
Tent
Mechanic table
Chairs, etc.
To streamline loading, we use a standardized box (approx. 60 × 37 × 40 cm) that can be stacked two high.
Most participants bring two boxes, which is usually sufficient.
Sign up early
The camp is popular and places fill up quickly, so make sure to book your spot early!
Loading dates
The truck is loaded at Skärås Mekaniska Verkstad on February 8 and will also stop in Malmö to load equipment from participants joining from southern Sweden and Denmark. Unloading takes place at the same location on March 8 when the truck returns to Sweden.
Training fee
At the track, a training fee applies for the days you choose to train. The fee is approximately €50 per day and is paid directly at the track by card or cash.
