For over 40 years, Rotax has developed high-performance go-kart engines with a focus on quality, durability and racing feel. Just like the rest of the engines in the MAX series, the 125 MAX Micro is hand-built in Austria and developed to deliver maximum reliability and low running costs.

The engine is designed for younger drivers in the Micro class and offers 9.5 hp with strong torque that makes the engine easy to drive and forgiving of driving mistakes. The smooth power curve helps the driver build confidence and progress faster on track.

Engine components:

Crankcase: The crankcase is manufactured from high-quality cast aluminum, CNC-machined with very high precision for optimal durability and a perfect fit.

Piston and cylinder: The cylinder is made from aluminium and precision-machined. The cylinder bore features a modern plasma coating that provides an extremely hard, wear-resistant surface with low friction and efficient heat transfer. This technology helps deliver consistent performance and long service life. The piston is made from forged aluminium and features a friction-reducing coating for improved durability and efficient operation.

Cooling: The water-cooled system ensures a stable operating temperature even during long driving sessions and heavy load.

Ignition: The engine uses an electronic ignition system that provides precise and reliable ignition under all conditions.

Carburetor & fuel: Fuel is fed via a vacuum-controlled fuel pump to the carburetor, which is optimized for the Micro MAX engine's power range and drivability.
