VI SÄTTER FART PÅ SÄSONGEN - FÖR TJUGONDE ÅRET
KARTINGLÄGER I BARCELONA
Barcelona 2025 - The Training Camp That Kick-Starts the Karting Season
This year, we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Training Camp Vendrell. A few enthusiasts from Västerås Karting first drove down with a small van two decades ago. Since then, 2,500 people have joined us on the journey to Vendrell.
The Track and Location
Now you have the chance to join us! Vendrell is located just south of Barcelona and is home to a 1,310-meter karting track where we practice karting, socialize, and enjoy Barcelona’s fantastic atmosphere. Close to vineyards, golf, shopping, and skiing in Andorra – but above all, about 50 kart drivers and their families gather here to improve their driving skills, test new chassis, and share experiences.
Over the years, we’ve been joined by participants from all over Europe, so you can expect to meet other karting enthusiasts from different countries.

Why Spain?
The simple answer is the weather – while the rest of Europe is cold and rainy, Vendrell offers sunny and pleasant conditions for karting. The average temperature during all the years we’ve been there ranges from 16 to 20 degrees.
Affordable Accommodation
During the winter break weeks 8 and 9, we offer favorable prices for accommodation and full board. The hotel we stay at is located 5 minutes from the track, close to the beautiful promenade.
The price for the hotel is €40 per night per person, including:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Dinner
- Wine, beer, soft drinks, water with meals
Travel to Spain on your own, preferably by flying to Barcelona Airport (BCN). You book your flight yourself. The distance from the airport to the hotel is 54 km.
Once there, we recommend renting a car to travel between the airport, hotel, and track. Major car rental companies are available at the airport, and rental prices are relatively low in Spain.

Equipment Transport
We transport your kart by truck through Europe. Loading takes place about a week before the trailer is scheduled to arrive in Spain, and unloading occurs a week after the last participant has left Vendrell. This takes place in Västerås.
Costs and Invoice
The cost for transportation is €730 and €37.5 per person for whom we book a room (Free for children 0-6 years). New for 2025 is that VAT will be added to the cost, and you will receive an invoice for the total amount from Radne Motor AB labeled “Transport.”
What’s Included?
You get transport to and from Vendrell with Tornfrakt, which has been with us for many years. The booking fee gives you access to our negotiated hotel prices and a stylish t-shirt to keep as a souvenir from the Training Camp.
What Can I Bring?
The transport cost includes everything you need, such as:
- Your complete kart
- Extra tires (packed in tire bags)
- Toolbox
- Kart stand
- Tent
- Work table
- Chairs
- And more
To streamline the loading process, we use a standardized box that stacks two high. You can order the box here:
https://www.radne.se/rally-racing/depa-team/stapelbar-lada-med-lock-57x37x407cm
With this box, you’ll easily fit into the trailer's loading system, which most people bring two of.

Loading Dates
We load the truck at Skärås Mekaniska Verkstad on February 9th, and the truck will also stop in Malmö to pick up those joining from southern Sweden and Denmark. Unloading will take place at the same location on March 9th when the truck returns to Sweden.
Training Fee
Once at the track, a training fee applies for the days you choose to practice. The fee is about €50 and can be paid at the track by card or cash.
