*Gold

The golden mirror coating reflects sunlight away and significantly reduces glare, making it more comfortable to ride in sunny conditions. The gold tint can increase contrast and improve visibility on the track when it's very bright. Iridium-coated visors (like gold) often work well as an all-round visor in changing light conditions, as they tone down the light without making it too dark.

*Blue
Blue visors are basically dark visors with a blue surface.
They have a light transmission slightly lower than the red-tinted and mirror-coated visors and are suitable for sunny days

*Rainbow
Rainbow visors are basically dark visors with a green/purple surface. The green tint gives you better depth perception and reduces eye fatigue on sunny days.
Recommended for sun and changing cloud cover.

*Silver/Iridium
Silver-tinted visors have a light transmission midway between dark and smoke-tinted.
Thanks to the reflective mirror surface, mirror visors are better at preventing you from being dazzled by sun glare, etc.

Silver visors have a distinct silver surface seen from the outside, but are experienced by the rider as a pair of medium-dark sunglasses.
Colours are muted with this visor, but contrasts still come through well.

*Clear
Clear or uncoloured visors are recommended for low light during dawn and dusk or very rainy days.
This visor is standard and you should have one for every helmet.

*Dark
A dark visor is comparable to a pair of really dark sunglasses.
This is suitable for days with brilliant strong sun and blue sky.
Dark visors have a significantly reduced light transmission and remove some of the colours, so they should not be used on 'half-sunny' days.
A smoke-tinted visor is recommended instead for this.

*Smoke-tinted
Smoke-tinted visors reduce light by approximately 50%, and they are very good for days with changing sun or weaker sunlight.

A smoke-tinted visor is quite forgiving in poor light and works in many circumstances.
Smoke-tinted should be one of your standard visors.
