Ribcage Body Support, Tillett

The new Ribcage support system consists of two strong, rigid but comfortable supports that provide extra lateral support for the upper body. Traditionally, the only way to achieve this has been to either use a seat with recessed sides or to make a seat that curves around the body.

RibCage panels avoid injuries caused by the seat's hard edge, especially for the driver. Kart seats also come in many different shapes and sizes, but they are not depth- or height-adjustable, which means that the fit of the seat is almost always a compromise.

A good, tight fit around the chest is important to protect the ribs and hip bones from injury, and by using RibCage you can choose the perfect height and depth, and by using the Ribcage Spacer Kit the width around the ribs can also be adjusted.

The Ribcage Spacer Kit contains 6 x M8 long seat screws and 18 x 4 mm nylon washers for spacer washers.

Ribcage does not change the properties of the seat by altering its stiffness, and will therefore only have a positive effect on lap times.
