Powerful sound

In terms of sound, it ranks among the best in its class thanks to the large built-in 38 mm speaker, a powerful 800 mW amplifier, and the built-in Compander functionality that compresses the sound, making speech clearer.

High functionality

With new improved circuitry, Icom has managed to achieve a long operating time despite a compact design. A waterproof accessory connector (2-pin) is located on the side of the radio, and a range of accessories is available. Pilot tone to block out interference, so only those with the same pilot tone can hear what is being said. The radio also has 5-tone signalling for making individual calls to a receiver. A voice can announce the set channel when changing channels.

Safety

Clear red button on top for activating the radio alarm, plus a built-in motion sensor that can be programmed to detect movement, no movement, vibration, etc, which can for example be used for a fall alarm (Man Down). The built-in scrambler provides eavesdropping protection and enhanced security.
