A fire blanket is a perfect complement to a fire extinguisher and is used to put out small fires on the stove or workbench and elsewhere.

The fire blanket is made of fibreglass coated with a protective silicone surface; thanks to this, the blanket doesn't absorb oils and grease that could otherwise catch fire inside the blanket.

The blanket is placed over the burning surface and effectively extinguishes the fire by smothering it. Unlike a fire extinguisher, the blanket leaves no residue/mess behind, making it a simpler and better tool for putting out fires at home.

The fire blanket from Housegard is manufactured to the national standard EN1869 and meets the requirements of MSB and the Swedish Fire Protection Association. The blanket is mounted within easy reach on the wall near fire-prone areas such as the kitchen and garage.
