Piston Rotax Max

Piston that fits all model years of the Rotax Max engine.

As standard, the engines are delivered with a piston clearance (i.e. the distance between the piston and the cylinder) of 0.04 – 0.05 mm. Maximum wear corresponds to a piston clearance of approximately 0.08 mm and must not exceed 0.1 mm.

Refer to the Rotax Max engine manual to learn how to measure the piston clearance on a Rotax Max engine.

The piston is supplied with a piston ring. Always remember to purchase new circlips for the piston. They must not be reused. See recommended accessories below.
