Piston Rotax Max

Piston that fits all model years of the Rotax Max engine.

As standard, the engines are supplied with a piston clearance (i.e. the gap between the piston and the cylinder) of 0.04 – 0.05 mm. Maximum wear is a piston clearance of approximately 0.08 mm and must not exceed 0.1 mm.

Read the Rotax Max engine manual to find out how to measure the piston clearance on a Rotax Max engine.

The piston is supplied with a piston ring; remember to always buy new circlips for the piston. They must not be reused. See recommended accessories below.
