Engine components

Crankcase: The crankcase is made from aluminium using precision casting and is subsequently machined with computer-controlled milling equipment for high accuracy. The surface finish contributes to durability and wear resistance.

Piston and cylinder: The cylinder is made from aluminium and precision-machined. The cylinder bore features a modern plasma coating that provides an extremely hard, wear-resistant surface with low friction and efficient heat transfer. This technology helps deliver consistent performance and long service life. The piston is made from forged aluminium and features a friction-reducing coating for improved durability and efficient operation.

Variable exhaust valve: The electronically controlled exhaust valve adjusts the engine's power characteristics according to engine speed, helping deliver efficient power throughout the rev range.

Cooling: The engine uses water cooling with a closed circuit to help maintain a suitable operating temperature while driving.

Ignition: The digital ignition system is electronically controlled and adjusts ignition timing according to operating conditions.

Clutch: The centrifugal clutch transfers engine power to the drive chain and rear axle. The gearing can be adjusted by changing the engine sprocket.
