Visor Arai GP-6/SK-6 Transparent
Product description
Genuine Arai visor designed for the GP-6 and SK-6 racing helmets
Your visor protects against wind blast and, above all, against eye injuries in accidents.
There are many different tints/colours to choose from - the right visor under the right conditions has a big impact on how well you see!
Also keep in mind that visors wear over time, and small scratches add up to reduced visibility. We recommend replacing the visor every year or every other year.
Which tint you prefer is largely a matter of personal preference, below is a brief overview of the characteristics of the different tints.
*Red
Arai red visors are essentially a darker visor coated with a red/oil-coloured surface.
Red helps you distinguish colours and improves visual acuity.
It suits medium to bright days. A good choice on sunnier days, and it also works in poorer light conditions.
*Blue
Blue visors are essentially dark visors with a blue surface.
They let in slightly less light than the red-tinted and mirror-coated visors and suit sunny days
*Green
Green visors are essentially dark visors with a green surface. The green tint gives you better depth perception and reduces eye fatigue on sunny days.
Recommended for sun and variable cloud cover.
*Silver
Silver-tinted visors let in an amount of light midway between dark and smoke-tinted ones.
Thanks to the reflective mirror surface, mirror visors are better at preventing you from being dazzled by sun glare, etc.
Silver visors have a distinct silver surface when seen from the outside, but are experienced by the rider as a pair of medium-dark sunglasses.
Colours are muted with this visor, but contrasts still come through fairly well.
*Clear
Clear or uncoloured visors are recommended for low light at dawn and dusk, or on very rainy days.
This visor is standard, and you should have one for every helmet.
*Dark
A dark visor is comparable to a pair of really dark sunglasses.
This suits days with strong, bright sun and blue skies.
Dark visors let in significantly less light and remove some of the colours, so they should not be used on ’partly sunny’ days.
For this, a smoke-tinted visor is recommended instead.
*Smoke
Smoke-tinted visors reduce light by around 50%, and they work very well on days with variable sun or weaker sunlight.
A smoke-tinted visor is quite forgiving in poor light and works in many different circumstances.
Smoke should be one of your standard visors.
