Race Suits

An FIA-Approved Sparco Racing suits are together with the helmet, your most important safety equipment for all types of racing. Regardless of whether you drive Rally, Racing or Drifting and Dragrace, you need an approved and flame-resistant rally racing suitthat protects you.
If you only drive simple track days and club racing, you usually don't need an FIA-approved suit according to the rules, but many still choose to use an proper racing suit to get the right style and not wear out their regular clothes.
All our rally suits / racing suits have some type of approval. The vast majority are FIA-approved, which is both a requirement according to the regulations and gives you peace of mind that the suits are safe and tested.
Some of our cheaper suits, such as the Sparco One SFI are -not- FIA-classified, these are approved by the SFI which is the American equivalent of the FIA, we recommend these for trackdays but not for more established racing such as rally racing and folk racing.

Choosing the right size for your racing suit:

For all our Sparco suits you will find a good size guide inside each overall/product, these guides will give a good indication of which size you should use.
Always focus on your height, and not your weight. It is important that the suit is not too short for you in the arms and legs, otherwise you will not be allowed to participate in the competition if your skin is at risk of being exposed.
A racing suit is most comfortable if it is a little too big for you, so you have a little extra fabric that allows you to move more easily.
If you have a slightly special body shape and are unusually thin or unusually muscular, it can be difficult to find a racing overall with the right fit for you. Sometimes you may need a tailored fia overall, which we can arrange via Sparco, please note that it costs extra and has a delivery time of around 5-6 weeks.
