Sparco K-Ring neck guard / neck brace designed for all types of karting and motorsport
The neck guard is made of a hard foam that provides a sturdy protection while still being comfortable to use.
The go-kart protection has a protective fabric cover that can be removed for washing.
At the front of the neck guard is a divider/opening held together by magnets and Velcro, this is where you split the guard to thread it on and off via the neck.
At the rear towards the back and shoulders there is a section that goes down and rests against the back, this allows the neck guard to lay perfectly against the body and will prevent it from around while driving.
A neck guard protects against injury by "raising the shoulders" of the rider, by building up against the helmet a few centimeters, the head can move less before it stops against the neck guard.
This helps prevent neck injuries of all types, in particular there is less risk of compression injuries from forces from the top of your head, but it also protects against overstretching of the neck via lateral forces.
A neck protector may feel awkward to wear at first, but most people soon get used to it and see it as a natural part of their equipment.
It is an inexpensive insurance policy and should be used by all riders regardless of age and experience level.
The cover is available in one size and fits most people from Junior to Adult
